Say Goodbye To the Delivery Guy And Say Hello To Robots
Industrial Design student Kobi Shiker has come up with a way to not only replace the delivery guy with a robot but the truck as well. The “Transwheel” concept uses swarming drones to deliver packages of varying sizes, but these drones don’t fly, they share the roads with the rest of us. The autonomous robotic wheel and GPS communication system will enable them to operate alone or as a troop. Their retractable arms can place the package right on your front step and with a camera they can ID who accepts the package. It really is a smart idea, but it will take some getting used to seeing all these individual packages riding down the road. Check out this cute video showing exactly how it works and see what you think. Would you rather have drones on the road or in the air delivering your Amazon package?
