Detroit Is Literally Going To Hell, Yes, I Mean Literally
Detroit has had it’s problems, but now it’s going to hell. Or maybe I should say hell is coming to Detriot. Turns out a Satanic organization has unveiled a bronze Baphomet sculpture at an industrial building near the Detriot River as its followers cheered, “Hail Satan.”
The statue shows a winged Baphomet with a goat’s head and two cheerful children are looking upon it on both sides. It warms the heart, doesn’t it. Well, I think it’s actually supposed to stir some s*** if you know what I mean. The organization headed up by Jex Blackmore has been trying to get it installed next to monuments of 10 commandments in other southern states prior to this without much success. While they didn’t get to put it in Oklahoma, the State Supreme Court ruled the 10 Commandments monument violated the state constitution that bans the use of state property for the benefit of religion, so they got their point across after all.

Not everyone in Detroit cheered the new statue, 50 people came together at the original location of where they wanted to erect the statue Saturday night and on Sunday The Detroit News reported that 200-250 attended mass at St. Joseph Church in protest. At the gathering on Saturday, Reverend Dave Bullock, a pastor told Reuters, “The last thing we need in Detroit is having a welcome home party for evil.”
While I don’t know how much evil will actually be welcomed because of this statue, it’s still easy to agree with the Reverend. Detroit has been hit pretty hard the last few years, this isn’t really the PR that they need right now. If they were going to pick on a city, maybe they could have found one that hadn’t taken such a beating already.
