Missing Rhea Bird In Nottinghamshire Can Disembowel A Human With One Strike
Police are warning locals to be on the look out for the missing Rhea Bird that escaped a private farm. They advise staying away as it can pose a real threat, especially to those with small children. The birds can grow up to six feet tall and run close to 40 mph, however, some experts say that they are not likely to attack. David Lindo told the BBC that they will likely run away from people. “They’re quite stealthy and they’ll be running off, hiding into the bushes. … They can melt into the countryside quite easily,” Lindo said.
